The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL), Mr. Idowu Oguntona, has commended staff of the organisation for their contributions towards the growth of the company and advancement of the transport system in Lagos State, particularly in the year 2021.
Oguntona gave the commendation in his New Year message, informing the staff that there is still a lot to be done and improved upon in a bid to take the company to greater heights.
He applauded the staff for working tirelessly against all odds to ensure that Lagosians, especially passengers of LBSL, commuted within the Lagos metropolis safely and comfortably throughout last year.
The CEO said, “I am proud of what I have witnessed with you all; your commitment to think differently is commendable, your determination to adapt, learn from mistakes and your drive to make a difference as members of this organisation is well appreciated”.
“From the acquisition of new buses added to our fleet to expanding our Route Coverage, we celebrate these wins, despite what may seem like numerous adverse circumstances we had to adapt to in the course of the year”, he added.
The LBSL Boss, however, attributed the successes recorded by the transportation company in the year 2021 to the passion and determination of the members of staff, saying, “You all made our achievements in the year 2021 possible”.
He gave assurance that the company would not relent in its efforts to provide a better environment where employees can be the best version of themselves every day, urging the team to continuously play their part towards building a ‘Greater Lagos’.
His words: “There is a lot of work ahead for us this New Year. We can all look back at the year 2021 with a sense of gratitude and accomplishment. We should all forge ahead as a team and conquer much more in 2022, dominating the industry in our dear city Lagos and beyond”.
“I acknowledge the passion and determination of our team and our combined strength. I wish you all a joyous, peaceful and prosperous 2022”, Oguntona added.
